Pool Filter

The pool filter is an essential element of any swimming pool. These devices are designed to remove small particulate matter from the water. Today, there are several different types of filters available to the general public.

A Diatomaceous Earth pool filter uses a natural sedimentary rock to filter out contaminants. This rock crushes down to a fine powder which is capable of removing small, even microscopic particles from your pool water. These can be found at most pool supply outlets.

If your swimming pool is relatively small, the best pool filter is often the cartridge style. These filters can remove particulates as small as twenty-five microns. While this is not quite as impressive as a D.E. filter, they are usually more than adequate.
